Windows 10: Default Windows mode is not available.

Hello there,

I am trying to change Windows default mode from dark to light, however Windows default mode button is missing. All I can change is default app mode.

Any suggestions how I could change Windows mode from dark to light in this case.

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

Except that Jaytwocents review sample while given the OC Mode as default turned out to be a poor silicon chip that did not manually overclock to the level of his Founders Edition card.
I could understand if the default Bios OC for review samples was superior to the OC Mode setting that was available to the retail customers, but this is not the case, it is merely that the OC Mode was selected by default.

The advertised clocks for each factory preset Mode were correctly stated by these companies, so how is it a different spec?

Question about customizing default profile in Audit Mode

I am creating a new image for my company from a clean Windows 10 installation, and I want to use Audit Mode to set up the default profile.

One of the programs we are required to have on all computers is Symantec Endpoint Protection which is pushed out as a remote installation. These were our previous steps to installing on our image computer without customizing a default profile, as they pertain to SEP installation.

1. Enable Remote Desktop connections
2. Join computer to domain
3. Turn off Windows Firewall
4. Push Symantec installation from server with domain admin credentials
5. Disjoin computer from domain
6. Create Image

The problem we are running into with trying to set up our software from audit mode is that, while in audit mode, the computer is undetectable on the network. We can attempt to ping by computer name and the DNS server displays the IP address, but all ping attempts time out.

If we try to connect to the computer via Remote Desktop Connection, we get an error that Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer because remote access is not enabled, the remote computer is off, or the remote computer is not available on the network. None of that is true.

Is this a security measure that a computer in audit mode can't be reached over the network, or is there something that I can configure to allow remote connections so that we can push the Symantec installation?
