Windows 10: Defective motherboard and windows 10

Hello,I have been trying to put a new PC together. I was able to install windows 10 using onboard graphics from my cpu and used my windows 10 pro product key. However, the motherboard has a defective graphics card PCIE express slot, so it is not able to detect any graphics card. I am going to buy another motherboard and try again.Since I have already used the key on a bad motherboard, does that mean that product key is dead and i need a new one now?Thanks.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Can I re-activate Windows 10 license after replacing defective motherboard?

Hello,

The mother board on my system failed. The system disk is functioning, as I was able to read and write the disk with a different system.

Can I re-activate the Windows 10 license after replacing the defective motherboard? A newer generation of the motherboard will need to be installed, as the defective motherboard is no longer available.
