    Defender 4K security system


    I have a Defender 4K security system that I love. Setup and use on Android phone is great. I would like to be able to view the cameras from home on my windows 10pc, but Defender says it can't work. Why? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is the 4K not the 1080p version. Thank You.

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

    We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    Thanks @Hydrate! Followed Step 3 of Option 2 and rebooted ... problem solved!

    I'll keep an eye on it for the next couple of days and if all stays good, I will mark this thread closed.

    windows defender & security center services keep turning off


    Are you running any other AV or did you have one running in the past? If you didn't use an uninstaller for the AV, then the remnants of it could be causing the problem. Normally any time you install an AV it disables Defender by default.

    If you are getting any error codes please list those, that will be helpful in helping you.

    As torre suggested, might be a good idea to do a reset or even a reinstall.
