Windows 10: Defender About Page is Empty

Three days ago I noticed there were no definition updates when I looked in windows update history. Looking it up on the internet, I found out that these are updates to windows defender, so I checked online what is the latest version and when I came to look what version I have, it was blank. So I tried to do a scan but it looks like it's not scanning see picture.it's the same for over ten minutes, not changingCan anyone please help me?Thank you

Windows Defender problem

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

• 
  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion
