Windows 10: Defender problems

Im getting very irritated with Defender. Just recently it has been blocking my System Mechanic software. I have used it for 20 years and have never had an issue like this. All i see in the help area is how to turn it off temporarily. I want to disable it permanently. I have tried to do it using other online tutorials but as soon as i restart it is active again. Im Im running Windows 10 64 bit.

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R key.
• Type services.msc.
• Right-click Windows Defender service and click
  Start.
