Windows 10: Defender says device driver error

Windows Defender is telling me there is a device driver error, and gives me an option to open the troubleshooter. So I ran the troubleshooter, and it found USB Input Device has a driver problem (though nothing is malfunctioning, everything works great) so I select that, and it does a bunch of stuff too quickly for me to see, then searches for changes, and finally settles on "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem" and the only choice is to close the troubleshooter. - I don't even know what the problem is, much less how to fix it. Help!

How can I connect Nokia 6120 to a Windows 10 PC?.

I got the drivers, it installs without error, but except modem other two devices shown in device manager carry an exclamation mark and say that device cannot start Error code 10. But when i try to update driver it says already best driver is installed.
Please help.

 

Blackjack Not Syncing with Vista

I've been trying to solve this problem on my own for 3 days now. I'm running Vista and I got my blackjack a couple of days ago. First of all, when I plug the phone in, windows does not acknowledge the device, no driver installation, nothing. I have countlessly
installed and uninstalled Windows Mobile Center with my phone plugged in and without my phone plugged in. The only time drivers are installed is when I instal WMC, regardless of whether or not my phone is plugged in. It installs a driver for an "Unidentified
Device." Needless to say, when I run WMC it says no device is connected, though every once and a while if I get lucky it says error. I don't have LiveOne Care, I turned off Windows Defender and Windows Firewall and nothing helps.

 

Can you post a screenshot of the "device driver error" screen? Are there any missing drivers if you open Device Manager?

Edit: Are you referring to this - Windows Defender Security Center shows false device driver error. - Microsoft Community ? What device is it complaining about?

 

I think I did this right. Yeah, I see the errors in the USB input device. Should I just delete that one?

 

Do you know what device it is? Try unplugging your USB devices one-by-one to see which one is missing its driver.

 

Nothing seems to be malfunctioning, I also looked at every bit of information there, and seems generic, not connected to anything specific. I tried to update it, but that didn't produce results.

 

So you're saying it's not something that you plugged in, correct? So it's something built-in to the laptop.

You can run USB Device Tree Viewer to get a clearer view of your USB devices. Maybe that will help identify what it is (or you can File->Save Full Report and upload the log here).

 

I suspect it's something I plugged in, but have since removed. I have the option of disabling it, so I'm going to see what happens when I do.

 

You might try inspecting that item's Properties and posting the values for its Hardware IDs here (or searching for them yourself on Google or Bing). You can learn a lot about weird or semi-present USB devices, if anything useful shows up in that field. HTH,
