Windows 10: Defender settings

I just noticed in windows Defender settings that there are two areas of concern. Cloud-delivered protection and Automatic sample submission. I've never seen these before and both are turned off and have yellow triangles on them.

Should both of these be turned on?

Its solved now thanks it solved on its own. Also I upgraded my Windows 10 to the latest update which is the creators update no problem. I am running yes third party antivirus apps they are Malwarebytes, Zemana AntiMalware , and Spybot Search and Destroy.

What's more concerning to me is I have Panda free installed and all but antivirus protection is off in defender
Last i remember defender was set to Off except for firewall so fall creators has a lot of stuff I noticed that is likely to might cause clashes or stalls seeing I would prefer defender to be off and only firewall on.

 

The new Defender is auto enabled in the Fall Creators Update. They did this because they included a lot of new features including Ransomware Protection built in. I've been playing with the new Defender a lot due to using Webroot at home and we have Webroot deployed at work. It does not clash with other AV's and you can turn off it's scanner ability.

Yes, if you are using WD as the main AV. Try to run this in CMD as admin, it should reset all settings to default.

Actually they've been there a long time. New for Anniversary Update (1607) was a feature called 'Block at First Sight' which aims to block files that as yet don't appear in the definitions. It required both those settings to be turned on for it to be enabled.

Update: I did a restart and guess what......they were all turned on. So I have no clue how or what turned them off (I didn't) but they're on now. So all is well.
