Windows 10: Defender showing current threats and it is in the end of scan but not completing it

I ran my defender on a full scan.It is nearly at the last and showing 1 minute remaining and constantly increasing time but it is not completing from an hour.It is showing current threats found from an hour.What should I do now?Stop it?I don't know whether it will remove that file or not when I stop it ,but I am scared of my data.

Microsoft will sooner or later fix it. For Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.

Full scan was perform but Microsoft 365 defender show antivirus scan cancelled

Host machine perform Full Scan.

Client was able to show host name ( on CMD) and screen shot of Virus & threat protection.
Microsoft defender shows "Windows Defender Antivirus scan cancelled" each time .

No current threat
Last scan: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm (full scan)

0 threat found

Scan lasted xx hours xx minutes
xxxxxxxx files scanned.

Yet microsoft defender hunting show:

ScanType

Full

Timeline logs shows "Windows Defender Antivirus scan cancelled"

What could be the reasons for the mismatch of records between "Virus & threat protection" & the Microsoft defender 365 logs?
How do we know if full scan was complete?

 

Windows Defender keeps taking action on nonexistent threats on nonexistent scans

I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron 3541) running Windows 10 v1803. Recently, I have been getting notifications from Windows Defender saying threats were found and removed on scnas that didn't happen.

When I go to Windows Defender, it doesn't show any threats found - nor does it even show a recent scan. For example, I got one of the above notifications today, and this is what Windows Defender showed.





I tried running a scan, but the ETA was 4 hours, then 20, then 70, and still kept going up.

Is there a way I can find out what the "threats" are? Or make it stop sending these unnecessary notifications?
