    Defender still not playing nice with High Contrast settings/desktop


    Good Day All

    just curious is MS going to ever fix the problem of trying to get to the defender setting panel while the system is using High Contrast setting on the desktop? i know about reverting to normal desktop settings and then reverting back but really over two months on this tiny fix (maybe tiny)

    Windows Defender Security Centre crashes when using High Contrast

    I am a visualy impaired user and use High contrast however I am unable to open Windows Defender Security Centre while using High contrast, I have tested this on multiple computers with the same result. The program won't open and just crashes when trying
    to load it from settings.

    I fixed it. I went to desktop. Right clicked and selected personalize> colors (on left side)>Select High contrast settings under Related Settings on the upper right>once at the Color and high contrast find the Apply Colour filter toggle. Toggle to off.

    Sorry i did not say what the problem was, when i try to go to the defender module it stops and then i get a blerb in the reliability module that says defender stopped working. so i am unable to do a scan on the spot. i hope that helps
