Windows 10: DefenderApiLogger Error after Fall Up date

I have two machines, one was up-dated via windows up-date the other I did a clean install. Both machines have this error.
every time they boot up. Anyone know what is causing it or better still a fix.

Failed to uninstall miracast

1 yes I ran removal tool before installing Nortons.

2. I ran cccleaner just to see what was left behind.2b cccleaner did find traces of nortons left in the registry,but I did not remove them.The reason I downloaded and ran it was because I was having popups about reinstalling the Norton product. I did let
cccleaner clean that file up in program files .I could have actually just deleted that myself.

3 I downloaded cccleaner from piriform site at least I do believe it was at piriform site because that is where I was in my browser. .I cannot remember the date I downloaded. Sorry. I am getting old but I am trying to answer your questions. I believe it
was right after uninstall of Nortons around august.

4. Yes that is correct, the error appeared after install of fall creators update. After the reboot. and final start of windows .I am in the habit of checking event viewer after major installs or uninstalls. The error only appears 1 time after boot up .Everyday
since install of creators fall update at boot.

It appears .It does not seem to be harming the performance of my laptop or causing other errors .Like I said it IS on other laptop with clean install of windows fall creators.

I have ran sfc with no integrity violations and also DISM with no errors so I suppose all is well.

5.If it is just a bug in windows then I do hope it is cleared up soon..There is also a warning about Defender since the update which I am supposing is another bug .

mode without having any real-time consumers." I have also seen others reporting this warning after fall creators upgrade.

So if both of these events are just "BUGS" I will just ignore them and wait. Thanks for your help. Have a nice day. We are done dissecting everything that has happened on my laptop for the past year. I hope I have answered all of your diagnostic questions
to your satisfaction just to find these are probably "JUST BUGS" that have absolutely nothing to do with the errors at hand since they are also part of a clean install from my other laptop .And yes the hard drive was formatted and I kept nothing, not even
the manufacturers recovery drive and installed with a USB from Windows Tool on Microsofts tool creation page .Later.

 

Windows 10 System Image & File History

Well I have, still have the same problem. My backup falls to complete with the same error message, as originally reported above. Is this ever going to be fixed? My pc is fully up to date.

 

Start - Run - perfmon - Data Collector Sets - Startup Event Trace Sessions

Open Defenderapilogger - Stop Condition - Increase Maximum Size (or uncheck it to make it unlimited)

 

Thanks for the info, I have now increased the Max Size. I noticed that you have that Api logger disabled.

 

I have got all logging disabled, except UBPM, which runs regardless and Security required by UAC.
I see no point of having hundreds of events logged per second, which I would never read anyway.
Disabling Windows Event Log service has increased the speed of installations enormously. *Smile
