Windows 10: Delay in audio input through USB headphones Windows 11

Hello,I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue or a Windows issue but i'll give it a shot:When im using headphones any headphones, in either of the laptops usb ports there is about a 20 second delay between speaking and people hearing my voice. It work fine when using the inbuilt audio input, not USB. And also works fine with bluetooth headsets. So i believe it to be something wrong with the usb driver? However it does run the USB mouse and keyboard fine.My laptop is fairly new so i'm trying to work out if i will need to return it.These are my specsrocessor 11th Gen IntelR CoreTM i7-11

Audio input not switching to headphones

I had upgraded to Windows 11 in my Acer Nitro 5 a while back which runs Realtek audio drivers. At first there used to be a popup allowing me to choose which audio device I had plugged in (headphones/headset) where headphones would have output to headphones and input from the integrated microphone while headset switched both output and input to the headphones. But recently, the popup stopped showing and I am unable to switch the input audio from the integrated microphone to headset microphone despite going through settings and control panel. Is there a solution for this?

 

Audio Delay Problem in Windows 10

Hi,

I have quite an annoying problem here. I am a guitarist and recently my only pair of AUX headphones broke so I have to use my USB headphones until i get some new ones. I cant play my guitar without any headphones so what I have to (annoyingly) do is plug
my amplifier into my PC microphone input using an AUX cable and make windows output the microphone through my USB headphones. However, there is a noticeable delay to the audio and therefore makes playing along to songs impossible.

Is there a free program that I can download that routes the audio without any delay?

Headphones not working and Realtek HD Audio Manager

• Did you check if your headphones work on other device?
• Did you check if your headphone drivers are detected under Device manager?

I suggest you to check if similar issue persists on connecting the same headphones to another computer. If the issue does not persists, I suggest you to check if the headphone drivers are detected under Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard select
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs option and check if the headphone drivers are visible in the window.
• Right-click on the headphone driver and select Update this software
  option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• Close the window after the update is complete and check if the changes are effective.

If the headphone drivers are not visible, I suggest you to download and install the latest and most compatible driver software from the device manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.
