  1. Delay in Windows 11 24H2 volume slider

I've just updated my Windows 11 to the new public 24H2 build and the first thing I noticed is a 1 second delay in the volume slider. Specifically, when I drag the slider, I should have heard the Asterisk sound right after but for 24H2, it takes 1 to 2 seconds to play the sound. Previously when I tried the release preview build of 24H2 the same problem has already occured. So at first I thought it was a hardware fault until I downgraded to 23H2 and fortunately, the problem didn't appear. I even tried 22H2 for a double check and same thing. So I reinstalled 24H2 again and still the problem didn'

    Factory reset Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.863)

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

  3. Volume slider not working on Windows 11

Hi, I'm having this problem in which the volume slider nor the hotkeys work on increasing or decreasing the volume. The visual slider works but the volume of the PC remains static. The only way to increase/decrease it is by altering the volume in the application i'm using (YouTube, Spotify, ecc). I've already tried restarting the service, windows explorer (found the same question from another user but trying the suggestions that were givven to him didn't work). Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Windows 11 audio volume slider ignore default audio device

    Hi,

I am using Windows 11 with 2 audio sources, switching between the two daily (Speakers and Headphones). Today I noticed that I can't change the volume of anything that is not my speakers via the volume control.

To be precise I can't control my headphone's volume using the built in keyboard audio slider. All it does is just modify my speaker's volume even when it is not active.

    • I tried with another keyboard
    • I tried restarting my pc
    • I tried windows update
    • I tried using a different plug for my audio source
    Neither of the above worked.

If I open up windows audio mixer I can modify there my headphone volume but for some reason when I use any keyboard to modify the volume of the active source, windows sticks to my speakers and modifies only that even when not in use.
