    This is sad. Many people have multiple versions of Microsoft Redistribution of C++

    Then, we get a new critical security software that requires Microsoft C++ to work.

    It fails installing because of a Previous Version. But, Microsoft Add/Remove won't uninstall the old versions, they won't repair, just nothing but error messages. MS Support has nothing but Try to Uninstall it! The real answer is to format your hard drive and reinstall everything? Really?


    I am trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64) - 14.21-27702 The required 14.22.27821.0 or higher is required.

    Why doesn't Microsoft have a Visual C++ Manager? Fine, how can I fix this?

    We are trying to install BlueIris Software that checks versions and tries to install Visual C++ 2015-2019.


    Please provide a solution to this DLL Hell on Windows 10. All my Window 10 latest updates to 9/1.2019 are installed.

    Why don't the old versions of software get deleted when updating?

    Most of the Microsoft ones are looked at as updates.
    The Java ones... you have to delete the versions you don't want.

    There are ways to clean up the listing... manually or by some software.

    EDIT: Some is poorly written software that does not clean up after itself, too.

    Why don't the old versions of software get deleted when updating?

    I was looking at all the sofware installed on my pc in the control panel and noted there are multiple versions of software still installed. Why don't old versions get deleted when updating to the newest?
    It seems a lot of disk space is wasted with these. Also my start up time is increasing.
    An example is my pc has Java versions 6, 7 and 8 installed. Are they all needed? Do they all activate when starting up my pc?

    Can I uninstall the older versions? I am attaching a screen capture of what I'm talking about.
