Windows 10: Delete edge

I use two browsers. I use FireFox, and I use Chrome. I do not ever want to see an instance of Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge, running. I want to permanently remove any option that these browsers would activate under any conditions when a browser would be invoked. The last time I tried to delete IE, I severely broke all kinds of things. This should not be possible. Browsers are browsers. If you want to use IE as the basis of some "apps", as long as I don't get it for browser-type purposes, I can live with that. But I do not ever want to see a browser other than Chrome presented to me; if I need FireFox, I will invoke it explicitly. And I want you to stop pestering me about Edge and its existence. Let me make it clear: I don't care if it exists. I do not want to see it, or any evidence of its existence, ever.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Unwanted search bar on Microsoft Edge and Steam Browser

I would suggest that you clear the data of Edge and check if the issue persist. To do so follow the steps below:

• Navigate to the location:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbw

• Delete everything in this folder.
• Restart Microsoft Edge and check.

With respect to issue that you are facing with Steam I would suggest that you contact the developer as we do not support third part application.

Method 2: Reset Microsoft Edge

Follow the below steps to reset Microsoft Edge and check if the issue persist.

  Navigate to the below location and delete everything in this folder.
  

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" –Verbose}

• 
  Check if the issue is resolved, if not restart the system.
