Windows 10: DELETE MOVIES FROM MICROSOFT STORE LIBRARY

Hello,I bought a movie years ago and I would like to completely delete it from my account. Do you know how can I do ?

There could be several reasons why the movie you purchased isn't showing up in your library. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check Order History: First, make sure that your purchase was successful and has been processed. You can do this by checking your order history on the Microsoft Store. Navigate to your order history by clicking on your account icon (top right corner in the Microsoft Store app) and selecting "My Library" then "Order History".
   
2. Sign Out and Sign In: Try signing out of your Microsoft account and then sign back in. Sometimes, this can refresh your account and make the movie appear in your library.
   
3. Check the Correct Account: Make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account that you used to purchase the movie. If you have more than one Microsoft account, you might have signed in with a different account.
   
4. Update Microsoft Store: Make sure your Microsoft Store app is up to date. To do this, open the Microsoft Store app, click on your profile picture in the top-right corner, and then click on "Downloads and updates". Click "Get updates" to update all your apps, including the Microsoft Store itself.
   
5. Reset Microsoft Store: Resetting the Microsoft Store can solve a lot of issues. To reset the Microsoft Store, go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & features", find "Microsoft Store", click on it, and then select "Advanced options". Scroll down and click on "Reset". This will delete the app's data and return it to its default settings.
   
6. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of these suggestions work, you should contact Microsoft Support. They can check your account and purchase history and help resolve this issue.
   

Remember to keep any receipts or confirmations about your purchase when you contact support. This can make it easier for them to find your purchase and resolve the issue.

Can't download the movie I purchased for rental.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to download rented movies offline and check if that helps.

Steps:

1. Select the movie you want to rent and click on
   rent option.
2. Login using Microsoft account.
3. Once you have signed in, you will have two option
   to stream or download movies to this device to watch offline.
4. Select download movies to this device to watch offline and click on next.
5. After Choosing the Next option and you will be asked for the payment option.
6. Once the payment it done, open Movies & TV application to download the movie.

You will be able to watch the movie offline from
Movies and TV application. When you rent, the viewing period is 14 days from the time of your order or 24-48 hours from the time you start to watch (depending on the content you select), whichever comes first.



If you still facing issues downloading the movies after following the above steps. I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below, to fix issues with Microsoft store.



Steps:

• 1. Open store application on your pc.
  2. Click on the ellipses on right top corner of the screen.
  3. Logout and login back.

Delete a Library in Windows 10

I would suggest you to restore the Libraries and then try deleting the Library folder.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + E keys from the Keyboard to open the
  File Explorer.
• Locate Libraries from the left pane.
• Right click on Libraries and select Restore default libraries option from the list.
