Windows 10: Delete numbers infront of mp3 names at once

Discus and support Delete numbers infront of mp3 names at once in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; So i have quite a few mp3 which all have numbers from 01 to 61 infront of the song name.     Delete numbers infront of mp3 names at once


    So i have quite a few mp3 which all have numbers from 01 to 61 infront of the song name. Is it possible to remove them all at once so named songs are sorted correctly by alphabet and not first by their numbers?

    Need an MP3 site streaming name

    So I have decided to get my mp3 subsite a full domain name:
    PC-Pad

    I was thinking mp3-pad.com however I think having a hyphen might not be ideal.

    Any original names you can think of? I'm not very creative when it comes to these sorta things. *Laugh :laugh:

    Update: Thanks to a friend's suggestion, I have decide "Sound Serum" will be the site's name:

    File Explorer is numbering MP3 files twice

    I can post a screen shot tonight when I get home after work. I created some of my mp3's straight from my CD library with Itunes starting back about 3 or 4 years ago. Others I bought already in mp3 format from Amazon and MP3Million. Either way I just created album folders and copied the songs to their respective albums.

    I never saw the extra numbers for each mp3 until after the Fall CU. I like the albums to be listed in alphabetical order both in the car and on my laptop but my car radio displays the albums in the order they are copied to the flash drive. If I just add new albums to the flash drive they will be at the end of the list so to keep it all in alphabetical order I have to erase the entire flash drive then re-copy the master mp3 list to it again. That was what happened when I first had this odd numbering problem. I bought a few albums last week, added them to the master list, re-copied the whole list back to my flash drive and when I played it in my car the music plays fine but Windows had re-numbered every single song on the flash drive, no matter how old the file might be.

    It would be a royal pain to manually correct the number sequence of over 3500 mp3's so I hope I can find a solution. Thanks again for all the help on this.

    Delete numbers infront of mp3 names at once

    Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
      x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
      NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
