Windows 10: Delete recurring birthday

When I right-click it gives me an editing facility but no delete ability. There is no error message.

Basically the same issue.

I had an old windows 8.1 computer and I added birthdays directly to the old windows 8.1 calendar and then it was automatically reflected in my contacts list as a new contact (I didn't put them in contacts, they populated themselves when I put the birthdays
on the calendar as a recurring event).

I just got a new windows 10 computer. I removed a lot of old contacts from my computer that were added directly on the calendar on my windows 8.1 computer, but their birthdays are still on my calendar. I can't remove them!

I want to delete the birthdays' of people who are not on my contact list anymore and they won't go away! No option to delete the ones the I added when I was using the windows 8.1 calendar. I right click and it asks me if I want to view the single even
or recurring events. Once I open the details, there is no option to delete the birthday or recurring event.

One more question - I have a lot of people that I don't know what year they were born or what year their anniversary was and windows 10 is not giving me the option of leaving off the year. How do I add a birthday without the year?

To delete any birthday/event in the Calendar App, follow the steps provided below:

• Open the Calendar App.
• Click on the Birthday event which is created for the particular day.
• A dialog box will open.
• In the top pane, click on Delete.

Deleting Birthdays in Calendar

This is still an issue. I've freed myself from the woes of Facebook by disabling my account. Unfortunately, the birthday entries are there. Attempting all of the steps within this thread are pointless as:

• there's no right clicking of the birthday event to delete it
• editing the series only shows "Save and close" but no delete
• there are no accounts associated to the calendar app to remove
• the troubleshooting app believes Windows is perfect and offers no options
• it's impossible to uninstall Mail and Calendar manually to try again

Give us some registry keys to delete to fix this.

It would be nice to use the apps Microsoft presents if they work...
