    I have a Dell Inspiron 3793 with Windows 10, 22H2, 19045.3803. I just finished reinstalled Windows 10 using ISO file from my USB drive. Every time it finished one installation option, my laptop restarted and it started another installation option installed updates, etcWhen it finished, I have 9 Windows.old folders in my C drive which occupied majority of my C storage. I have tried to go to Settings /storage / temporary files, it said SCANNING but nothing happened, no files showed. I did DISC CLEAN and CLEAN SYSTEM FILES, nothing happened. If I delete the folder individually, it will take a v

    Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

    *Confused Delete Windows.old Folders :confused:

    Will I be forever stuck with these unnecessary folders? *Oh Well Delete Windows.old Folders :eek:hwell:

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Delete Windows.old Folders ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
