Windows 10: Deleted driver for ASUS external CD-rom causing problem with Core Isolation. Need it back...

I deleted a driver for an ASUS external CD-rom drive that was preventing turning on Core Isolation. I then installed a new ASUS driver. The drive powers up but won't run nor appear in Explorer no matter which USB slot I put it in. It worked fine before I deleted that driver. The CD-rom works on other laptops. I'm running Windows 11, 64-bit. ASUS and Lenovo tech support just keep sending me the same updated driver but uninstalling/reinstalling it doesn't work, and they don't have any further clues about why it isn't working. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks!

Core Isolation preventing a driver from loading

The driver "gdvr3.sys" was causing core isolation to turn off. After turning it back on and restarting, get the message that Core Isolation has blocked the driver from loading. However, it is not showing up under problems when I look under core isolation details. Not sure what next steps need to be.
