Windows 10: Deleted File - Recovery??

Hi,


I am very hopeful that someone out there can help me.....yesterday, I connected my Samsung Galaxy phone to my Microsoft Surface via a USB, and basically cleansed my phone. I saved everything on to a new 'Samsung' file, which I had newly created to sit in my 'Documnets' folder; I also added a 'pin to gain quick access' - all good.


However, today I inadvertently deleted the whole 'Samsung' file! I was going through each individual file to see what I wanted to keep and delete. When I came out of one particular file, instead of deleting the individual file, I deleted the whole 'Samsung' file, meaning all the data that I had in that file that I hadn't yet had a chance to review. Compounding this issue, I also managed to cleanse the Recycle Bin, so overall, not a great day.


What I would like to know is if there is anyway of finding this 'Samsung' file? Maybe a restore time/date may help, but I am not sure. I'd be really grateful of any advice, especially if it means that I get this file back....lot's of photographs gone forever....

Best free file recovery

My mate was doing a back up and somehow managed to delete a lot of important files and photos, he has downloaded a program called pctools which does file recovery and it finds the files though to recover them he has to pay, he is a bit dubious about paying before the recovery incase it doesnt do as advertised, does anyone know of any good free file recovery apps that actually work.

The files shouldnt be too hard to recover as they were just deleted from the recycle bin and the drive hasnt been formatted, any help appreciated.

Hmm okay, and how do I restore them? With a recovery software? Can you suggest one that works, maybe freeware? (I remember the name Recuva...)

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to
perform the task:

• Type in Cortana Disc Cleanup
  
• Choose the files to delete
  
• Click on "Clean up system files"
