Windows 10: Deleted some files and the pc will take me to the system recovery and I can't figure out...

So a while ago i delete some files in my pc because it was getting overloaded with services and it was making my ram slow, after I deleted the files, it restarted and it takes me to the "choose a option" screen with only troubleshoot, and turn off your pc. When I click the troubleshoot option it takes me to a screen with recovery manager and advanced options, i never backed up my files so i can't use recovery manager, and on advanced options, there is system restore, go back to previous version, system image recovery, startup repair, command prompt, and UEFI Firmware settings and nothing worked, please try to help me, I'm getting very stressed out and worried, thank you.

My mate was doing a back up and somehow managed to delete a lot of important files and photos, he has downloaded a program called pctools which does file recovery and it finds the files though to recover them he has to pay, he is a bit dubious about paying before the recovery incase it doesnt do as advertised, does anyone know of any good free file recovery apps that actually work.

The files shouldnt be too hard to recover as they were just deleted from the recycle bin and the drive hasnt been formatted, any help appreciated.
