Windows 10: deleted the "Windowsapps" folder in C:\Program Files... What now?

I thought the WindowsApps folder was useless and backed it up and forcefully deleted it

but then I just realised that it's very important for computers.

Multiple apps have been forcefully uninstalled and because of that, my computer is a little broken probably very.

I deleted it a couple days ago and have been trying to constantly get it back with no luck.

Does anyone know of anyway I can get it back?

I would suggest the fastest way to delete WindowsApps folder is to format the drive.

See below steps:

>> Open Settings.

>> Click on Apps.

>> Click on Apps & features.

>> Under the "Apps & features" section, use the Filter by menu, and select the drive containing the "WindowsApps" folder.

>> Select the app and click the Uninstall button.

>> Click the Uninstall button again.

WindowsApps folder says permissions are corrupted and need to be deleted, is this normal or critical?

According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

1. Navigate to the location C:\Program Files.
   
2. Right-click on the WindowsApps folder, and select Properties.
   
3. Turn to Security tab and click on Advanced.
   
4. Click on Change and then type Users in Enter the object name to select area.
   
5. Click on OK, then click Apply > OK. You can also add the TrustedInstaller to the users list and check if it takes effect.
   

However, you might be still not able to access the files. The workaround is to go inside the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\, and repeat the same way with the Microsoft.WindowsStore* folders.

 

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
