Windows 10: deleted unwanted weird unopened emails but their addresses are showing up when trying to...

these email/people addresses do not appear in the contact directory at all and do not show up when searching for them to delete them.


Example: sending an email to Bill this pops up Bitcoin rewards mailing.KQXXIKQXXL.jNUYa.46801145@


I just now turned off an email setting that keeps/saves all contacts whether you initiated them or not DUH a little after the fact.


When I hit new mail and started typing in the letters of the alphabet and I found over 75 of these unwanted phishing type items.


I assume if you hit one in error and send it you are in serious trouble. How can I Purge these from my email system??


Failing that I will have to just dump the current email address, notify everyone and set up a different one.


I'd appreciate any input.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type
the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly
allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Unopened emails deleted using Windows 10 Mailapp show as read/opened - security issue

When using Windows 10 Mailapp, deleting an unopened email (because it could be a virus or other security issue) causes the email to show as read/opened in the deleted folder and the "blue bar" on the left is gone. When right-clicking on one of these emails
in deleted folder, an option is "mark as unread", which indicates the email as been opened/read.

We are concerned that when deleting an unopened email using the Mailapp, the email is automatically opened as well as deleted and a virus/malware could be launched.

Is this function working as designed in the Windows 10 Mailapp? Or is there some other way to delete an unopened email with the Mailapp that will not automatically open it?

 

How to delete an incorrect email address showing in profile history

The YouTube video does not work on a Windows phone. I tried to follow the steps but the email address still shows in the auto-complete(suggest) list when I start typing the to address. The only way I was able to get rid of the address was to "hard" reset
the phone. Which was painfull in getting it set back up the way I wanted to.
