Windows 10: deleting all other previous windows installations.

so my pc did something verry weird and i had to re download windows 11 and all of my other files and stuff from my old account remain on my m.2 drive but they are not showing up on the windows home screen what i mean is for example i had steam and a background and now they are not therei was just wondering if deleting everything is better than doing everything again and having everything but double.and another thing clicking the option "remove previous windows installations" will that delite my windows boot option.thank you.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

3DMARK05 no install (remove previous version)

Ok well I found the culprit...It was an add remove folder in the registry , I had deleted the entry for 3dmark05 but didn't delete the folder because it had some funky number name , but once I deleted that folder that was responsible for the add remove entry I was GOLDEN *Toast :toast: ..thanks for all the suggestions*Toast :toast: *Toast :toast: *Toast :toast: I now have it installed again !!!*Smile
