Windows 10: Deleting Photo in Photos App doesn't Half of the Time

Every time I try to delete a photo in the Photos app, it works about 2/3 of the time, but the other 1/3 of the time, It doesn't work, and any time I press the delete button from then on, it won't work. So, I have to exit the application and restart it to try again. It is very frustrating because I am going through a lot of photos right now. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be going on here?

Multiple Photos

We suggest that you follow the steps below to delete the photo through Photos app:

• If you’re looking at your list of photos in Photos app, select the photos by clicking on checkbox on the photos you want to delete. Click
  Delete icon at the bottom right corner to delete.
• If you open a photo, Tap or press Delete
  key from keyboard.

Deleting photos in Windows 10

If you are referring to Photo app, follow the below steps and check.

[*]1. In the Photos app, go to the folder with the files you want to delete.
[*]2. Do one of the following:

• If you’re looking at your list of photos and videos, swipe down on or right-click the files you want to delete. You can also tap or click
  Select all.
  
• If you open a photo or video, swipe up from the bottom or right-click to see the app commands.
  

3. Tap or click
Delete.

• 
  

You can also delete photos using the Camera app, the OneDrive app, or File Explorer.

The above steps are the only way to delete the photos.

SlideShow in Photos app does not display more that 30 photos

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to remove and re-add the photos folder from Photo app. Follow the steps below:

• 
  Open Photos App.
  
• 
  Click on Settings.
  
• 
  Under Sources click on the X mark next to the folder location listed to delete the location from Photos App.
  
• 
  Once done try to re-add the folder by clicking on Add a Folder.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check if issue persists.
