    Deleting windows files

I permanently deleted my windows files, I am now currently stuck on the automatic repairing screen and I cannot get out of it no matter what I do; I tried a lot of YouTube videos, websites, and literally every option on the automatic repairing screen. I don’t have any restoring points, I don’t have a USB, and I don’t have anything that can really restore my computer as I recently cleaned it out. I watched a YouTube video that gave me tips on cleaning up my computer, and one of the options were deleting windows files as it has “old updates you can delete” once I deleted it, my screen went black

    :)

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Deleting windows files ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    Hi,

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to
    perform the task:

    • Type in Cortana Disc Cleanup
    • Choose the files to delete
    • Click on "Clean up system files"
    • Click on Ok

For any concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.
