Windows 10: Delivery optimization using all bandwidth, won't disable

Hi, delivery optimization is using all of my bandwidth, when I look under task manager it is under the process Service Host: Network Service, expanding this shows that it is delivery optimization using the bandwidth. I tried ending the task, but it restarts itself after a few seconds. I have disabled delivery optimization in the settings, set the bandwidth limits to the lowest setting, set my network to a metered connection, and even tried finding the delivery optimization setting in regedit, but it just doesn't exist HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion. None of the

Windows 10 - Delivery Optimization hogging bandwidth

Uh sorry but it appears in many cases disabling Windows Store update actually works. Just look at the first page where my suggestion being marked as helpful by 100+ users is proof enough that disabling Windows Store update solves the problem for many who
experienced bandwidth hogging even after they modified the Delivery Optimization settings. YMMV

 

Disable Delivery Optimization

I too have noted the same behaviour. But according to this Reddit discussions, Delivery Optimization is not exclusively related to P2P updates, but is also related to other MS update tasks. According to those discussions, Delivery Optimization service will not stay disabled for long and hence the cache folder we are seeing which is somehow related to that service.
