Windows 10: Delivery optimization

Whyyyyy does Microsoft do this to me? I have turned it off 100 times, but it always turns back on, i have to go to regedit: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DoSvc and set start to 4 instead of 3 which it defaults to.

But everytime i use the xbox game pass it goes back to 3 which enables it again :S

Is there some way to make sure it always stay off? If i play online games, my ping goes from 60 to 300 when it turns on. And in task manager it says it uses more off my network connection than the internet connection i have.



I hate Microsoft Windows so much. But no other OS supports games in the same way :S

Windows 10 - Delivery Optimization hogging bandwidth

Hi Abhishek,

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Click the Start menu button (or type “settings” in the search box), choose Settings and click Update & security (toward the bottom of the Settings window).
  
• 
  From within the Windows Update tab, click Advanced options.
  
• 
  Under Choose how updates are installed, change Automatic (recommended) to Notify to schedule restart:
  
• 
  Next, click Choose how updates are delivered
  
• 
  Under Updates from more than one place, switch the toggle to Off:
  
• 
  Click the upper-right X to close the window; your changes will be saved.

Delivery optimization

You may also try to disable Service Host: Delivery Optimization by following the steps below:

1. Type in Win + R to get the Run box.

2. Enter services.msc then click OK.

3. Then search for Service Host: Delivery Optimization.

4. Right-click then click Properties.

5. Under Startup type, select Disable.
