  1. DELL 15 Inspiron 3525 frequent BSOD

Hi,Firstly I'm just a college student with no computer technical knowledge. My laptop has been experiencing very frequent BSOD errors and it's honestly getting more and more frustrating bcs i have sent it to be repaired/checked by the store that sold me this laptop, and they couldnt find anything. when I contact DELL's support assist they did remote controlled my device to find the issue and updated any drivers that needed to. But now I still get the BSOD. What's more annoying is it has been going on since October last year.

    :)

  2. Dell Inspiron 15 3525 laptop, bluescreen error: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

    Hi,

I have a very similar problem on a new Dell Inspiron 15 3525 laptop. It has an AMD Ryzen 3 3250U APU (Vega 3 graphics). The BSOD bugcheck code is always 0x133 (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION). The glaring symptom is that it only happens on restart or a full boot. Fast boot after the Windows 11 shutdown (hibernation) will not trigger the problem.

The problem appears as a frozen throbber (the rotating arc below the DELL logo at boot). After a minute or so with the frozen screen, the BSOD appears.

I ran "DumpChk" on 3 Minidump files. They each showed a different driver file as the suspect.

I originally thought the workaround was to let the laptop cool down and power it on again. But now I think that method is just as effective as a prayer. It is random. But once Windows 11 boots successfully, the laptop works fine and there is no spurious failure or crash. As far as I know, all drivers are up-to-date and I have done both DISM and SFC. All attempts to boot into Safe Mode have been successful. Unfortunately Safe Mode with Networking does not give me Wi-Fi, so it is the same as Safe Mode. The Dell BIOS-launched diagnosis never finds any problem.

I can probably upload the Minidump files if you want.

There is no memory refresh rate or voltage settings in the InsydeH2O BIOS. I think I have run out of things to try. If no one has any promising suggestion on this discussion board, I will probably call Dell to ask for a replacement unit to test.

    Thanks!

  3. BSOD on Dell Inspiron 15 5570 with Windows 10

This solution helped me resolve my frequent BSOD but I couldn't seem to reinstall Dell SupportAssist. I noticed my husband's computer looked like he had an updated SupportAssist. However, every time I tried to install the latest version of SupportAssist, it would fail. Eventually I found this article SupportAssist Installer Installation Failed. I went through the solution, including removal using Revo Uninstaller, and it solved my installation issues with the app.

The reason I am posting this here is because when I would go through the normal uninstall of Dell SupportAssist then reinstall with the latest SupportAssist installer executable, it would fail and I would see the older SupportAssist in my app list but not in my system menu. It was messed up.

The issue for my BSOD was due to a SupportAssist driver. I suspect that Dell updated my SupportAssist through a routine update but it somehow failed and left me in a bad driver state that caused the frequent BSOD issues. The link I gave above will allow for a clean uninstall and re-install of Dell SupportAssist which may resolve the BSOD for others.
