Windows 10: DELL All in-one-computer. "Inspiron One2330- Can not afford a new computer-need to upgrade...

Hi, I have a DELL All-in-one-computer an "Inspiron One2330- IntelR PentiumR, G2030, Q3.0GHZ, 3.00GHZ RAM 4.00GB, 64-bit operating system, 64-based processor It's 8 years old and works excellently- I currently have Windows 8.1 on my computer. How can I upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 without buying a new computer? Note: I did purchase Windows 10 from Microsoft but my computer would not complete the upload. I reached out to tech help from Microsoft but none of their guidance helped, they ended up refunding my money. Any help is appreciated, Thank you for y

New Dell Computer and can't dualboot.

I ran mbr2gpt and am now having a different problem.

mbr2gpt ran successfully.
I restarted the computer, went into BIOS, changed boot order as below, then restarted computer again.
The system tried to boot from my old SSD, but failed.
The error is below (INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE).

What do I need to do to the SSD out of my old computer so the installed OS (Windows 10 Pro) will boot on this new computer?

BIOS now shows my SSD as boot option -- top of list (yea, first step).

Dell Inspiron 570 and Windows 10 Upgrade


Has anyone any experience of upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 570? I've visited the Dell site and it is not on the list of Dell computers that have been tested; in fact it specifically says that it will not be tested. The only advice given is a recommendation not to upgrade to Win 10, which may well be true but is not exactly much help in making a decision on whether to proceed or not!

 

suggestions for updating Dell Inspiron 580S from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

I'm trying to update a Dell Inspiron 580S desktop computer from Windows 7 (SP1 with latest updates) to Windows 10. I downloaded the Media Creation Tool; it ran ok until partway through installing Windows 10 when it stopped with the message "This PC can't
be upgraded to Windows 10... No action is needed." Following the suggestions in a July 9 2019 post to this forum (Redirecting) I tracked down
Dell's list of computers compatible with current versions of Win10. The Inspiron 580S isn't on the list.

Any suggestions of how I might proceed from here (other than "buy a new computer")?
