    Backlit Keyboard DELL NOT WORKING

    Hi,

    Keyboard backlight settings may have been automatically modified after the recent update. This
    thread
    suggests pressing the shortcut keys Fn + right cursor to turn on the keyboard backlight. If it wasn't able to resolve the issue, we suggest contacting Dell support for additional options because Dell usually has a Dell system manager for device
    configuration.

    If anything comes up, don't hesitate to get back to us anytime.

    Daoud,

    The keyboard backlight is controlled by Dell utilities.

    Check the Dell site using your Dell service tag to identify your computer to their servers then download & install

    • the Dell Quickset application
    • any separate keyboard drivers [if relevant]
    • any BIOS update that you have not already done.

    Can't find the setting to turn off keyboard backlight

    Sarah,

    • lacrumb is correct, keyboard backlighting is controlled by utilities put on your computer by the computer maker.
    • Keyboard backlighting only appears in Windows mobility centre if the computer maker has put it there.

    I suggest

    • Checking through your Start menu looking for a computer maker's utility,
    • Reading the computer manual,
    • Searching the computer maker's website
    • Searching any user forums for your computer model
    • Installing all hardware updates & BIOS updates provided on the computer maker's website
