    DELL BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER ntoskrnl.exe SOLVED

I hope this helps someone else..
Since upgrading my Dell Studio XPS 435T / 9000 from Windows 8 Pro 64 to Windows 10 Pro 64, I was experiencing several random Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) BAD_POOL_CALLER errors that were occurring in the ntoskrnl.exe. (BSOD reports were from several different drivers but all crashing ntoskrnl.exe in about the same location.)

First of all, its maddening that you can find easily find more details about the BSODs from within Windows 10.
I would highly recommend the free NIRSOFT BlueScreenView utility. Freeware Tools and System Utilities for Windows
BlueScreenView scans all your minidump files created during 'blue screen of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one table.

I updated my RAID Storage Controller driver to the JMicron JMB36X Controller (1.17.65.11 9/17/2012). The old one was the original Microsoft/Intel controller that was installed with Windows 10 Pro. I was a little nervous about this driver since, although it is the latestJMicron driver, it is from 2012. The driver is available at L: ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Controller/Windows/ .

One week later, my system is stable. I havent had a BSOD since. *Cool
System specs are with the new driver. BSOD info is included.

Screenshot of updated driver after updating.

  2. Recurring BSOD crashes after using specific software (Axure RP Pro)

The causes of the BSOD's are related to BAD_POOL_CALLER and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION related to the drivers; ntoskrnl.exe+16c560 and win32kbase.sys
