Windows 10: Dell Desk Top Win10 setup Brother Printer HL-L2390 DW failed, Windows Last failed install...

Hi, I just bought a new Brother HL-L2390DW laser printer, but cannot setup the driver. My PC is Dell 2016 Inspiron with Windows 10. I tried to setup the printer driver with wireless and USB both many times, but the computer still cannot find the driver. The computer can find the printer but indicates that: driver is unavailable.


I checked the Windows and update several times. However, the updates show:

I just need to install the printer driver, I tried setup the printer in my Samsun Laptop Win 7 in normal work, setup to my cellphone Mopria normal work. But I do not know why this printer driver can not setup to my Dell Desk top Win 10.


Please help me to resolve the Windows update failed problems include the Brother printer driver.

Windows update fails to install Brother HL-2140 printer driver

The printer works fine but Windows 10 is adamant about installing a driver update and fails every time.

Relevant event viewer entry:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246013: Brother driver update for Brother HL-2140.

Not sure how to proceed. ETA from Brother site regarding a Windows 10 driver is late Decemeber...

 

Brother Printer exists & works, but won't "Install" - Why?

Check whether I understood you well.
First try: Add new printer, Windows finds printer and loads its own drivers/programme automatically. It wprks but not with the Brother drivers.
Second try: Brother package: failed
I suggest a third try: Add new printer; the printer that I wanted is not listed; continue and see of your model is listed. in the list of printers.
I had difficulties with setting up another Brother printer, and the third try solved it.

 

Windows 10 Creator- printer driver install fails- kernel mode fail

I was using a Brother HL-1110 printer on my machine successfully. It was originally a Win8.1 machine, but was upgraded to Win10 successfully.

I installed a SSD in the machine, and decided to do a clean install of Win10Pro Creator. All went well on the install. Win10 was activated.

I installed an Epson CD printer successfully.

When I went to install a Brother HL-1110 printer, I used the installation software to install the driver and utilities. The software is installed before installing the printer, and then it asks you to plug in and turn on the printer.

When I do, Windows tries to install the drivers for a new USB device. It fails, reporting that the driver is unavailable, and do I want to delete the printer? The Brother installation software sits there waiting for the printer to appear.

I have tried to install the printer using the manufacturer CD, the decompressed downloaded file from the Brother web site, and Windows Update, but Windows refuses it. The error message is "Windows can't install the Brother HL-1110 series kernel-mode print
driver."



It does appear in "Devices and Printers" and the Brother utility software opens when clicked on. It does not appear as a printer choice in apps.

Brother told me it's not their problem, go talk to Microsoft. Guess that's the last Brother printer I'll be buying...

Any ideas? I need a laser printer for prototyping simple pcbs.
