Windows 10: Dell G3 3779 BSOD SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED nvlddmkm.sys

I have a Dell G3 3779 that has been stuck on a bsod for over a year now, trying on and off to solve it. Every time after around 5-10 mins of usage I get a bsod and the error SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED nvlddmkm.sys. I have tried reinstalling windows from a flash drive from the internet reinstalling drivers but nothing has seemed to work. Any ideas on what is going wrong or is the gpu just finished?

Dell G3 3779 Dedicated GPU issues, not using dedicated gpu?

Hello, so my friend's Dell G3 3779 is not using the Nvidia GPU for gaming and using the integrated one, this is on a freshly installed win10 with latest BIOS, and the latest drivers make it run minecraft at 12 FPS

We tried installing older nvidia drivers and the performance improved but not as good as it was originally, and with the older drivers the GPU usage in task manager stays at 100% with occasional dips in both usage and FPS.

What driver versions have you tried currently for your graphics?
If it is the newest version, 361.43, try rolling back the drivers.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window
