2 finger scrolling issues on Windows 10 apps

After upgrading the OS on Dell XPS L502X laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I am facing a very peculiar problem related to the 2 finger scroll. 2 finger scrolling works perfectly on desktop apps like IE12, but it doesn't work at all on Windows 10 store
apps, and even on built in apps like EDGE. It is also not working on the start screen.

I have updated the Synaptic touch pad drivers from Dell's website. Still the 2 finger scrolling is not working on modern apps. Kindly let me know if there is a solution to this problem.

 

Dell Inspiron touchpad chiral scrolling

Just received a new Dell pc (3/6/18) and have found the touchpad driver to be lacking. Having to use two fingers to do simple scrolling is so outlandish. Touchpads have been using one finger scrolling for years so what is wrong with Dell's driver? Also
- there is no 'chiral' scrolling feature in this touchpad driver at all which makes two finger scrolling even more frustrating. One has to place 2 fingers on the pad and slide down, then lift and re-position and drag again to scroll down a sizable page or
list of search results.

What driver can I download that Dell forgot to provide that will give me one finger scrolling and the chiral scrolling that my last three laptops all had?

 

dvd not seen with windows 10 and Dell Inspiron 11 3147

I have a Dell Inspiron 3147 and it can not see my external dvd. I am using a external power supply for the drive.

In device manager, it does not even list it as being connected to any of the 3 usb ports, 2 usb2 and one usb3.

Any ideas on where to look or what to try?
