A Dell Inspiron 530 operating with Windows 10. It is an older model but added the max memory and a CPU upgrade finally got it to operate using Win 10. It was not the fastest computer, but it worked and has been operating for over a year now. I was initially trying to update this computer after it had been setting down since I moved a few months ago. It started up just fine a couple weeks ago, however, it seemed to need important updates installed. I went forward with the updates but started having trouble when I encountered windows update KB5019959. Not only would it not install this updat

can a Dell Inspiron 530 using Windows Vista as the operating system be upgraded to Windows 10 operating system?

 

Dell Inspiron 530 in reboot loop

Today my sons Inspiron 530 tried to update in w10 and now it is stuck in a constant reboot loop. I can not get into safe mode no matter what keys I press. I get the splash screen, then says something, then says trying to restore previous os and then I get the windows logo and spinning dots and then shuts down and starts over again. I tried re-installing W10 but can not get out of loop. There is information on HD that needs to be saved. any suggestions will be appreciated. Tried windows repair with USB W10 and after 45 minutes said it could not be repaired.

Dell only supports and supplies drivers on that model number for XP and Vista.

First thing to do is to make sure that you have the correct system requirements and that your Computer Manufacturer supplies the correct Drivers for 10 for your Model Number.

If you read those Microsoft's system requirements for 10, you will find that if you only go on them you will be sadly disappointed in performance.
