    Dell Laptop freezes every other day


    Every other day my computer freezes around the same time. The event viewer shows a 6008 event id, but the event is shown as occurring about 20 minutes before the computer freeze. I have recently downloaded a Media Creation file and ran the update saving apps and personal files. The freezing stopped for a day or two but has started up again.

    I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


    These 7 steps allowed me to disable my touchpad (Dell laptop, Windows 10):

    1. Win Start button
    2. Type in "device manager"
    3. Select Device Manager to open it
    4. Click down arrow to left of "Mice and other..." to expand
    5. Right click Dell Touchpad
    6. Disable device
    7. Yes

    Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

    some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

    occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
