Windows 10: Dell Laptop Freezes frequently after Windows 10 August 10 2022 update

My Dell Inspiron 7573 2-in-1 laptop, Service Tag: 82N2BL2, had problems directly after the Windows 10 August 10 update. Upon first bootup after the update, the system bluescreened on bootup and suggested a reboot. That allowed the system to boot up, but after about one hour the system froze, only allowing the mouse curser to move, but not operate. The keyboard was also locked out. Dell Laptop Freezes frequently after Windows 10 August 10 2022 update

My Dell Inspiron 7573 2-in-1 laptop, Service Tag: 82N2BL2, had problems directly after the Windows 10 August 10 update. Upon first bootup after the update, the system bluescreened on bootup and suggested a reboot. That allowed the system to boot up, but after about one hour the system froze, only allowing the mouse curser to move, but not operate. The keyboard was also locked out. I had to manually switch off the computer in order to reboot, which is not ideal and can cause data loss.

I should also mention that a similar problem also occurred after the July Windows 10 update and I needed to uninstall those updates also. Those updates were later automatically reinstalled after I restored the system from a restore point, and the system worked normally until the August update.

After the August 10 update, I initially thought that the problem might be with a software app that I was using at the time, and upon future bootups avoided using that app. The system freeze up problem still reoccurred about three times before I decided to uninstall the August 2022 updates. After doing that, my computer works normally. This is clearly not a viable solution, however, since Microsoft does not allow users to NOT upgrade their Windows 10 Home software each month, despite any problems that might result.

Why is this happening, and how can the problem be fixed?
