Windows 10: Dell Laptop Randomly Losing Power Despite Being Connected to Appropriate Power

Hi Community,I'm working with a user that has a Dell Precision 5680 running W11. Randomly the system, while plugged into a travel power supply that's a Dell 165.0W model da165pm210 adapter - the user has tried multiple different travel power supplies & multiple outlets around the house, will lose power to the point that the system will shut down. The user is not running anything unusual that could drain the system's power faster than it can replenish it. The system is up to date on Windows 11 OS updates, and Dell drivers using Dell Command Update. I've installed Dell Power Manager. Mu

Losing wifi connectivity on windows 10 when the power adapter is not connected to the laptop

I understand that you are unable to connect to Wi Fi when the power cord is connected. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

This issue may arise when some of the Windows components gets corrupted.

I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issue:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Laptop Loses Power With Any Movement

I know that you don't think that the power socket or the AC adapter are the problem, but I would encouage you to just try one more thing to verify this.

Leave the laptop on the desk or whatever surface it is on and don't move it. Grasp the connector right where it connects to the laptop. Slowly apply pressure in different directions without moving the laptop. If that does not cause any loss of power then slowly work your way down the cord from the adapter toward the AC adapter itself manipulating the cord in various directions. Once you reach the actual AC adapter repeat and continue down the actual power cord toward the wall socket.

If none of that causes loss of power but the laptop still loses power when you move it, then I would have to conclude that there is a problem internally. Only way you will be able to diagnose that is by opening it up.

this, follow the steps below:

• Type cmd in the search box.
• Right clickCommand Prompt from the list, and select
  Run as administrator.
• Type or copy and paste the command below:
  
  powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Wait for the command to finish and restart the device if prompted.

Once you're done, check if the issue persists.
