Windows 10: Dell laptops keep crashing with 21a error. Please help.

I have Dell Latitude E7470 and 6430u laptops. Recently (September 2020) my E7470 crashed with BSOD with 21a error message. After losing all my data and not able to resolve the error I decided to do a clean install so I downloaded the windows 10 from Microsoft and made a bootable USB and did a clean install. W10 installed with out any trouble but the minute I connect to WiFi windows update tries to find the drivers and installs them even before I could manually install from dell website. Within 30-45 min of me staying online windows suddenly restarts and causes 21a error again. Did atleast 10 clean reinstalls with installing all drivers offline few time and also disabled windows update but this error keeps on happening. Decided to completely ditch W10 and ran Ubuntu on it with out issues now.

Thinking this error is only related to my E7470 I decided to run W10 on my 6340u (2013 model) similar thing happened after multiple clean installs on it too similar to other laptop. I did not use the same usb as I redownloaded the OS from Microsoft.

Once the 21a error starts I can not do anything. It won’t repair with boot USB. SFC scan didn’t do much.

Anyone experiencing same issue? Or any help would be appreciated.

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


These 7 steps allowed me to disable my touchpad (Dell laptop, Windows 10):

1. Win Start button
2. Type in "device manager"
3. Select Device Manager to open it
4. Click down arrow to left of "Mice and other..." to expand
5. Right click Dell Touchpad
6. Disable device
7. Yes

 

all games crash!

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
