  1. Dell Latitude E7450 Wifi driver causing BSOD

    Hey all,

I have a user with a Dell Latitude E7450 that has recently In-Place Upgraded to Windows 10 (from Windows 7) and ever since the upgrade, her Wifi blue screens when running a speedtest from speedtest.net. (Or presumably after any extensive Wifi use) I have tried updating the drivers from Windows Update as well as from Dells website and the laptop is certified as being Windows 10 certified.

    Thanks!

    :)

  2. Graphics driver stopped working and has recovered - Windows 10 PRO and Windows 8.1 PRO

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

I suggest you to uninstall the latest driver and install the Windows 8.1 graphic driver and check if it helps.

Please find the dell site link below and select Windows 8.1 graphic driver:

    Thanks you.

Latest dump indicates a problem with bcmwl63a.sys

The installed driver is dated Mon Nov 23 17:56:21 2015.
The Dell web site shows one dated 06 Jan 2016

The version matches so that appears to have been installed okay. Lets wait and see if another problem occurs. If it does, run DM_Log_collector again and upload the zip file.

Dell Latitude E7450 Wifi driver causing BSOD

    Still the same problem:
    Code: BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff80164510c7a, ffffd000252946d8, ffffd00025293ef0} Probably caused by : bcmwl63a.sys ( bcmwl63a+150c7a ) Followup: MachineOwner --------- 3: kd> lmvm bcmwl63a start end module name fffff801`643c0000 fffff801`650fc000 bcmwl63a T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: bcmwl63a.sys Image path: bcmwl63a.sys Image name: bcmwl63a.sys Timestamp: Mon Nov 23 17:56:21 2015 (56539995) CheckSum: 00B45B74 ImageSize: 00D3C000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4[/quote] Notice the date on the driver is still Mon Nov 23 17:56:21 2015 which does not match what is on the Dell site.

I downloaded the driver from Dell then expanded it and bcmwl63a.sys is not in it. Now I'm totally confused.

Almost identical problem here: BSOD on Windows 10 [Broadcom 802.11 Wireless Driver, bcmwl63a.sys] - Windows 10 Forums

Resolution was to backup data then do a Clean Install. What are your thoughts on doing that?

  9. Thanks for checking everything out, unfortunately Its a remote user that's having the problem so I think she will end up rolling back to Windows 7 the installation.

    Thanks,

Probably the best choice. Some things are difficult to work on remotely.
