Windows 10: Dell MFC Application consistently over 30% CPU usage

Title says it all. Last night after I rebooted my computer a process called Dell MFC application began using over 30% of the CPU constantly and causing the computer fan to run loud for seemingly no reason. I killed the process but just before I posted this it came back. I don't know what to do. I tried googling this without getting very far. Am I going to have to deal with a fan too loud for me to be comfortable for the rest of my computer's lifespan?

Dell XPS 13 poor battery life after Windows 10 Anniversary update

My dell xps 13 battery life took a major hit after the anniversary update.

One major thing i have noticed after the update is that my system uses around 30% cpu resources consistently, even when no program is open.

I checked all battery settings, updated all drivers on dell website but still no use.

 

AppleMobileDeviceService.exe consistently takes 50% of CPU usage.

Try to find out which one of your installed Dell applications is causing this and uninstall it. As an aside, pretty much all of the stuff that comes preinstalled on Dell machines is (a) unnecessary and (b) complete and utter crap (to the point of causing Blue Screens, I kid you not...), so the general rule is to get rid of all of these.

 

From what I find, that can also be malware/spyware. I have that process on my Dell laptop and it does not interfere or cause memory usage, etc.

Run a complete Malware scan with a program such as Malwarebytes and also a Virus Scan.

I've been dealing with and owning Dell's since 2002 and do not find them to be as bad as Pirx states.

 

I rebooted and it went away. This never happened until the night before I posted this.
