    Dell Optiplex 7040 WINDOWS 10 PRO Bricked


    My optiplex 7040 windows 10 pro was downloading a cumulative preview update, the latest one. I clicked the option "update and restart". After restarting, the screen was stuck. Just a black screen for minutes. So I forced shutdown. After that, it was normal but the next day it was completely bricked. No windows logo, no dell logo, no bios, no recovery mode. My pc was totalled and dell support serviced doesn't help as they are stupid. They said do a diagnostic test even thought my screen is completely blacked out. My optiplex warranty was expired ?I need help since it's so bad even chat gpt can'

    Upgrade Dell Optiplex 7040

    I have a Dell Optiplex 7040 with TPM 1.2 enabled and see that I can upgrade it to TPM 2.0 but it still has an Intell Core i7-6700 CPU that prevents me from upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Can the CPU be added to the list of compatible processors and I be notified when it has? If not, can you tell me another CPU that works on a Dell Optiplex 7040 that is compatible?

    network adapter missing after installing windows 10 pro on Dell Optiplex 7040

    Hi,

    Just bought e new desktop Dell OptiPlex 7040.

    On the salestag was written "with Windows 7/Windows 10 pro.

    When starting pc turns out it is with windows 7 pro.

    With the purchase inside the box comes a cd with window 10 pro on it that says "already installed on your computer".

    Strange. After getting help with Del, I was able to install windows 10 pro on my PC it took a lot of time though.

    Now there is a bigger problem: NO INTERNET CONNECTION.

    The pc does not see any network adapter/drivers anymore while in windows 10.

    I treid several suggestions on the internet, non helped so far.

    Can anyone help me out with this?
