DELL STUDIO 1569 LAPTOP HARDDRIVE FAILED.REPLACED WITH NEW SSD DRIVE. HOW DO I REINSTALL WIN7 ON NEW DRIVE WITH ORIGINAL PRODUCT KEY? Have product key on tag back of computer.No Backup or disk is available. Will need to download bootable disk and WIN7 OS TO INSTALL.Loaded new win 10 pro and office 2016 and now have to Uninstall and go back to Win 7 because hardware is not up to task of Win 10 with office.

Replacing a laptop hard drive with a SSD

I have a Dell Latitude E5420 laptop which has a Windows 10 Pro O/S. I would appreciate a step by step guide on the procedure to replace the hard drive with a Solid State drive; specifically dealing with the transfer of all the software from the old drive to the new. I have an external hard drive I use for backups and a free version of the Macrium Reflect program on the hard drive. The SSD is brand new. I have just 50 GB in total on the 231 GB hard drive. The SSD has 250 GB capacity.

 

Using Windows 10, all updated to latest updates, on my Dell studio 1569 CD drive spits out the cd, it wont accept a cd, push the cd in it ejects it?
