Windows 10: Dell Studio One 19 1909 Drivers

I just upgraded this machine to Win 10. When it came up the Device Manager showed no driver for a Co-Processor and an unknown device. Actually there were two unknown devices but I only noticed one. I found a thread where there was a link to a fix for the co-processor and for [what I thought was] my unknown device. Both errors went away after following those instructions. However, my webcam and mic were still not being found. I noticed that there was a USB device error plus when I showed hidden devices another unknown device error showed (see below).

Does anyone know if there is any earlier drivers available that might fix these two errors?

Dell Studio 540 updated to Win 10 - Keyboard driver not working

Good Day. I have upgraded my old Dell Studio 540 from Win 7 to Win 10. Everything seems to be working fine except the keyboard no longer works. In Device Manager the keyboard is now "Unknown Device" and automated device driver update attempted to install Pluralinput Keyboard 0.8.4. The driver software encountered an error while attempting to install. Dell offers no assistance that I have been able to find. They did not test the Dell Studio 540 for Win 10.
Any suggestions for a keyboard driver? I can always purchase a Bluetooth keyboard.

 

Replacing hard drive on Dell studio 1555

I realize that you are facing keyboard and startup issues after installing Windows 10.

From the dell website, your " Dell Studio 1555" computer doesn't have the drivers available for Windows 10. That might also be a reason why you are facing issues.

Before replacing hard drive, you may try few troubleshooting steps and check if it works.

Method 1: You may install the latest drivers for Dell Touchpad Driver (Windows 7) in compatibility mode and check.

Steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

a. Right click/tap twice the driver setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.

b. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

c. Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.

d. Try installing the driver/software and check.

Method 2: For issue with keyboard, you may run the
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Right click on the start menu and select control panel.
• In the category select small icons.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

You may also install all the pending updates and check if it helps.
