Windows 10: Dell Touchpad not working after upgrading to windows 10 32bit

Dell Touchpad not working after upgrading to windows 10 32bit I am using Dell Dell Latitude 3000 Series with windows 7 with Awesome condition. I recently upgraded to windows 10 homeand after that my touchpad is not working. .. And also I searched in my Device manager > Mice and other pointing Device but not found. I tried Dell Touchpad Drivers from site but not worked. error like This app can't run on your PC.. To find version of your PC, check with the software publisher.. and Drivers from DELL site is Input_Driver_CN4KX_WN32_19.0.9.4_A00 Synaptics

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using windows 10 32Bit OS, may be that's why the Dell Touchpad is not working. In the time of windows 10 upgrade Winodows update shows a message that 64Bit is not supported for your PC and then i installed 32Bit. Now i'll try to get
help from Dell.

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:

• start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
• windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
• various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
• device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.

Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Method 1:

Let's first run hardware and troubleshooter and check.

• 
  Open Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type “Troubleshooting “in the search box and hit
  enter.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and sound.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and device
  and follow the on-screen instructions.
  

Method 2: Run the SFC.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Open Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Select “Run as Administrator”.
  
• 
  Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
  Enter.
  

Now check for the issue.

Method 3:

You have to download the drivers from the manufacturer website.

If you find the driver in Device manager then uninstall the
Mice & other pointing Driver and reinstall from the manufacturer’s website.



I would suggest you to uninstall the Touchpad Driver and reinstall it.Follow the steps given below to uninstall the Touchpad Driver.

• 
  Click on Start.
  
• 
  Select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Find and double-click Mice & other pointing Driver from the left panel to uninstall.
  
• 
  Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
  
• 
  Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
  
• 
  After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.
  
  
  
  After you have successfully uninstalled the driver go to manufacturer’s website. Download the latest touchpad driver and install it.
  
  
  
  If the drivers are not available for Windows 10, download for Windows 8 from your manufacturer’s website and install in Windows 8 compatibility mode:
  

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
