Windows 10: Dell xps13 9310 random shutdown/crashes

Hi there, long time user of dell's computers but lately finding it really difficult, currently using the xps 13 9310 and the system randomly shuts off / crashes cant tell which, really frustrating as it's out of warranty as well and is properly annoying, I used to simply put up with it but is become to frustrating now. Laptop seems to shutdown less frequently when connected to power if that's any consolation and have done all of the most recent win 11 updates issue happend before upgrading to win 11 Any help about this matter would be incredible many thanks.

Advice on new Dell xps13 9310 HDD Bloatware - Macrium View

I'm not quite as PC literate as I should be in this day & age.........and age is one of my problems. And yes, I am getting my excuses in early.
We just bought a new Dell XPS13" (9310) 2 in 1. The netbook is Win10 pro ver 20H2, OS 19042.1202 and will mainly be used by my wife for reading, e-mail & (should we ever again be lucky enough), travel - it also needs to be mounted on a reading stand due to longterm neck issues.





I've read Bree's very comprehensive answer regarding the various partitions. I'm also interested in following Kari's advice re: creating a custom .wim partition. So, my question boils down to this:

Would anyone advise me regarding deleting the partition #5 (above), & using the disk space for the custom.wim file and keeping (or deleting) the partition # 6 (above) for Dell Support use?
Admittedly Dell will lose the ability to easily restore the netbook back to factory default (assuming that is what is in partition #5) and I've already removed Mcaffee as I use Malwarebytes AV.

As always, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Dell xps13


I just got the new Dell skylake xps13 16gb/1tb with touch screen. Has anyone managed to revert to windows 7? I a really struggling with Windows 10 and want to go back to what works.

DELL XPS13 Cypress Touchpad issue on Windows 10

Hi everybody,

After Win10 update, when I plug in external USB mouse, Cypress Touchpad on my DELL XPS13 continue to work even if I enable option "Disable Trackpad when USB Mouse is present" on "Dell pointing devices control panel". This was working well on Windows 8.1.

Any suggestion? - I have the latest Cypress driver version, obviously.
