Windows 10: Dell xps8930 local netwok problem

I am having trouble connecting my Del xps8930 PC to all the other pc's on my local network. I keep getting message "Windows cannot access …". I also get the same message if I try to access the 8930 from another PC on the network. I tried pinging another PC and I get a response but if I try from file explorer I get the error message. I have 6 PC's on the network and I can access 3 of them but not the others and I can not access the 8930 from any of them.

Same problem here. This is vey annoying. My Dell is XPS8930.

 

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
