Windows 10: DESIGNER - cannot use this photos app

The latest updates have once again fixed something that was not broken - although this might prove the best fix thus far. I refer to PICTURE or PHOTO management using DESIGNER. When I open Designer after signing in the selected photo becomes a whiteout and all the editing controls are frozen. Does anyone know enough to give me some kind of tutorial so that I might use this - until they change it again?Unless of course the freezing to whiteout is something to do with the update and still needs sorting out....?

Does anybody know anything about "Designer" In windows photo viewer?

There are several steps you can take to address the issues you're experiencing with photo viewing and to potentially uninstall any unwanted features or apps.

Steps to Open Photos Full-Screen by Default

1. Using Windows Photo Viewer:
   
   • If you are using the classic Windows Photo Viewer, you can try pressing F11 to switch to full-screen mode. This should make the photo fill the entire screen without any borders or toolbars.
     
   • If Windows Photo Viewer is not opening images in full-screen by default, you might need to adjust the settings or use a registry hack to ensure it opens in full-screen mode every time.
     
2. Using the Photos App:
   
   • If the Photos app is not behaving as expected, you might want to reset it. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find the Photos app, and select Advanced options. From there, you can reset the app.
     

Uninstalling the Photos App or Unwanted Features

1. Uninstalling the Photos App:
   
   • You can uninstall the Photos app using PowerShell. Open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following command:
     
     
   • Alternatively, you can use third-party tools like O&O AppBuster to remove the Photos app.
     
2. Removing Unwanted Features:
   
   • If "Designer" is part of a third-party app or an add-on, you might need to identify and uninstall that specific app. Check your installed programs in Settings > Apps > Apps & features and look for any unfamiliar software that might be related to "Designer".

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
