Windows 10: Desktop Background and Icons turn black frequently, possible OS or Driver Issue?

During regular usage desktop background image and icons will turn black after approximately 5 minutes of the PC being turned on. highlighting an area with outer click will induce a black pixels wherever the highlighted area covers. -maybe related: I find that running SFC /scannow once a week often yields some sort of corruption that ends up being routinely corrected-Temporarily rectified by restarting the 'File Explorer" process via Task Manager. I do this about every hour as the problem continues to occur.Troubleshooting Steps completed thus far:1. Ran windows troubleshooters - no errors foun

In the meantime, we suggest that you try to check if the "Show Windows Background" option is turned on. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings in the Start menu.
• Go to Ease of Access, then on the left side, click
  Other options.
• Turn on Show Windows Background and check if it works.

Background Slideshow Turns Black

Windows 10 Pro x64 Version 1709 (OS Build 16.299.125)

Intel Core i7-7700 CPU

32 GB RAM

I have set the background to show a slide show:

Change picture every: 1 minute

Shuffle: On

Choose a fit: Fit

Every now and then the background turns black. None of the images in the Slideshow folder are completely black. The icons on the desktop are still displayed.

If I right click and select: Next desktop background

an image will appear and the slideshow will run.

I have a number of machines running Windows 10 Pro x64 and this is the only one exhibiting this odd behavior.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Hi, so i recently updated my windows 10 pc to windows 11. And i am still having an issue related to the desktop: at seemingly random moments when i update the desktop by either selecting with the mouse or hovering over an icon, the background turns black. Then when i restart explorer everything seems normal again. Does someone maybe know what's happening?
